As an eclectic producer, I often rotate through several genres, musical hybrids, and vibes, but every once and while I produce enough songs touching on a similar vibe, I feel I can release them as body of work.
Welcome to Glow and Chill. A vibrant loungey offering that focuses on the chilled vibes of Neo Soul, Jazz Fusion, Downtempo, Chill Hop, Wonky Beats, and R&B. It is great for listening to late at night. It is my most vocal record to date. Each song features vocals, some from my friends who are great vocalists, and others feature cool vocal samples I dug up from my favourite sample libraries. Other friends join in for some musical elements on some of the tracks. I have really been digging some of these genres i have explored recently after hearing examples on Satellite Radio, Youtube, and Soundcloud. Hiatus Kaiyote, Kaytranada, and the teachers at GospelMusicians.com were particular inspirations that lit a fire under me to produce a project like this. The vibes of Jurassic 5, John Scofield, Flume, Bad Bad Not Good, Pola and Bryson, and Jaco Pastorius played an influence as well. Sit and Relax or go for a Walk and enjoy the vibes.
