This song is part of a series of songs I intend on writing for a future full length album and appears on my From SRV to Moddin' Electricity EP. In grade 8, I became a fan of Stevie Ray Vaughan after finding a SRV mix tape my mom had. At the time he was really pushing blues into the future with cutting edge tones and licks. However, I don't feel that blues innovation has really gone anywhere since the early 90's. I hadn't really heard anyone take Blues intro the digital stratosphere except for one blues hip hop album I purchased from Possum Records and a Moby track. My goal with this series of songs was bring blues into the Hip Hop, Jungle, Drum n' Bass and Garage World of 1995 and beyond. With a nod to the future and the past. This was a lot of fun for me to work on.
