about

Because I have a portable studio set up, I wrote most of this album out side of my house in down town Stratford somewhere. This track I recorded at the bandshell on Veteran's Drive on a warm summer night. I sat on the picnic table on the bandshell. Just as I finished, I was walking home and I made it 150 ft and a torrential downpour started. I did not have any protection for my synth so I ran into an apartment building for seniors and waited the rain out. When I did, someone walked in and asked what I was doing in there. I knew he wouldn't understand I was protecting my equipment so I could continue with this album. The title of the track is namesake for the table and the orange glow along the river from the old lights. Slowly Stratford is loosing the orange glow aesthetic as longer lasting white lights are replacing them. This song is a tribute to that orange glow I love so much.
