about

This song was a true joy for me to accomplish. I had a 3 day layover on the way back to Canada in England. My best friend lives there with his wife Sarah. She was gone for 3 days. That gave Kevin and I a lot of time to record a song together. We hadn't recorded together in 12 years since my last album. The song title is inspired by the phrase "I am going to hop over the pond" when people refer to flying to Canada from England, thus The English Bounce. Plus the song has a groove to it. It is like a fantasy collaboration for me and Kevin. The song is part AC/DC, Mutemath, Explosions in the Sky, Coldplay, and Flea from the Red Hot Chillipeppers. Kevin has been getting into producing lately. This is my first song done in Logic software.
